Senior Principal, Medical Informatics Analyst - Behavioral Health - Blue Shield of CA : Job Details

Your Role

The Network Contracting and Trend Analytics (NTA) team supports the Network Management team with analytical and financial modeling for provider contracting and network development activities for Blue Shield of California. The Senior Principal, Medical Informatics of NTA will report to the Senior Director of NTA. In this role, you will be responsible for behavioral health finance analytics, including measurement of internal healthcare costs, reporting, analytics supporting care coordination opportunities, and oversight of provider contracting analytics.

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Requires a college degree or equivalent experience.
• Preferred qualifications include MPH, MBA, MS, MA, RN, or RHIA.
• Requires at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in healthcare, including managed care, academic settings, or government payers.
• Experience in healthcare contracting with a behavioral health specialty.
• Proven ability to develop programs that lead to CoHC savings, with extensive vendor knowledge of financial healthcare within behavioral health.
• Experience with behavioral health financial reporting and modeling.
• Comfortable navigating an evolving business model that seeks optimal solutions in behavioral health.
• Possession of a SAS Certified Base Programmer Credential or equivalent, or a SAS Certified Advanced Programmer Credential or equivalent.
