The Challenge

Senior Principal Data Platform Engineer will be part of an innovative Enterprise data team that enables Marketing, Product, Sales, and Finance to explore data and take strategic actions. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, data architects, domain experts, and business analysts to understand requirements and develop best-in-class data platform solutions and architecture for scalability.

Your Mission
  • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand business needs and develop scalable data platform solutions.
  • Build and automate modern data platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake), deploy applications, and provision infrastructure.
  • Administer, maintain, and support production systems (Snowflake, Fivetran, DBT, Power BI, Airflow).
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) for safe, reproducible deployments.
  • Design and implement automation frameworks to deliver high-quality data under SLAs.
  • Engage in technical discussions with stakeholders to define platform needs and provisioning strategies.
  • Work within Scrum teams to deliver value efficiently.
  • Reduce technical debt through root cause analysis, issue resolution, and promoting best practices.
You Are

This hands-on role requires top-tier technical expertise and industry best practices.

Your Experience Includes
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience, including 6+ years in large-scale data warehouse projects.
  • Strong SQL skills, dimensional modeling, data warehouse support, ETL pipeline optimization, and performance tuning.
  • 7+ years of Python experience with various data formats.
  • 5+ years of experience with Snowflake, Airflow, and ETL/Integration tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Data Warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift) and Big Data (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis).
  • Experience evaluating new tools and enhancing architecture.
  • Proactive, technical expert capable of designing solutions based on high-impact business needs and communicating effectively about deliverables and tradeoffs.
