Maritime Advisory Americas supports our customers in the region Americas. Our client base covers ship owners, ports and stakeholders within all ship segments such as cruise, tankers, gas carriers, ferries, supply vessels, navy vessels and fishing vessels including regulatory bodies such as such as USC, Transport Canada, flag states, etc.

We are now specifically seeking a forward-leaning and customer centric Consultant to serve as the local go-to expert for our cruise clients in Miami. This role blends technical depth with strong consulting skills, supporting clients on topics related to decarbonization, safety, risk, and HSEQ management.

You'll work at the intersection of technology, operations, and regulation, helping clients navigate the complexities of IMO and EU requirements, alternative fuels, and safety strategies. Your ability to engage confidently with clients, understand their challenges, and deliver actionable insights will be key to your success.

What You'll Do:

As part of our global Maritime Advisory network, you will:

  • Deliver projects across environmental, safety, and risk domains
  • Advise on emission reduction strategies, alternative fuels, and regulatory compliance
  • Lead safety and risk assessments
  • Support clients in developing safety culture and HSEQ systems
  • Lead or contribute to incident investigations and organizational learning

We are looking for a candidate who is both technically competent and commercially savvy, with the confidence to engage directly with clients and the curiosity to grow in a dynamic environment.

What Is Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in marine technology, environmental sciences, industrial economy, organizational psychology, or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in the maritime industry (cruise preferred, but other segments or hazardous industries also relevant)
  • 5+ years in the cruise industry in lieu of Bachelor's degree will be considered.
  • Familiarity, either with decarbonization technologies and regulations, or operational safety and risk management.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, including report writing and presentations
  • A proactive, service-minded, and collaborative mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently or in teams
  • Travel approx. 20% (domestic and/or International).
  • Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written
