A Day in the Life and the Impact You'll Make: Daily activities revolve around evaluating the performance, efficiency, and durability of EV and Hybrid propulsion components using high-precision dynamometers in a controlled lab environment. This engineer plays a crucial role in EV validation and calibration for OEM's and Tier suppliers What You'll Do:
- Ensure a safe work environment, compliance with OSHA and ISO 17025 standards, complete customer equipment and data confidentiality.
- Closely support the client engineering team and technicians to achieve project timelines and test objectives.
- Move, set up, install, operate, and monitor powertrain testing, data, and equipment.
- Periodic calibration of test equipment.
- Troubleshooting issues comprising vibration, signal noise, data connectivity, CAN communication, control systems, PLCs, equipment uptime, sensors, and software changes.
- Interpretation of customer test plans, project schedules, and analyzing customer data.
What You'll Bring:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in EV drivetrain testing and validation
- Experience with conventional ICE, EV, and hybrid powertrain systems.
- Excellent communication skills in a fast paced and occasionally challenging environment.
- Experience as a machine operator, technician, electrician, or with machine software.
- Experience working with hand tools, overhead cranes, fork-lifts, volt meters, and knowledge of safety rules for high-voltage electricity and rotating equipment.
- Experience calibrating equipment a plus.
- Mastery of Microsoft software tools.
- Experience working with test software a plus. Training will be provided.
Physical Considerations:
- Operating a fork-lift, overhead crane, and hand-truck is required.
- May require lifting up-to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, working in confined spaces, and climbing a ladder.
- Ability to move and conduct work with full range of motion.
- Extended periods of computer-based work
- Extended periods of standing

The base pay for this position ranges from $74,900 annually in our lowest geographic market up to $110,900 annually in our highest geographic market. Actual pay is based on several factors including market location and position-related knowledge.
