To acquire this advantage, Zolon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI & Power Platform Developer to support data-driven initiatives for a federal program.This role will focus on designing and building modern reporting solutions, automating business processes, and integrating data across platforms such as SharePoint, SQL, and Excel.The ideal candidate brings both technical expertise and a practical understanding of business analytics and workflow automation in a federal environment.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models using DAXBuild and support low-code/no-code applications using Microsoft Power Apps and automated workflows using Power AutomateIntegrate data from SharePoint, SQL Server, Excel, and other data sources into unified reporting solutionsCollaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable data visualizations and toolsCreate reusable templates and workflows that align with program goals and security policiesOptimize report performance, ensure data accuracy, and support ongoing data quality effortsParticipate in Agile development processes and use version control tools such as Git for source managementTroubleshoot and resolve reporting or automation issues in coordination with other team membersRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field6+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI (including DAX, data modeling, and advanced visuals)Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power Apps and Power AutomateProven ability to integrate data from multiple systems, including SharePoint, SQL, and ExcelSolid understanding of data governance, security roles, and user access management in Microsoft environmentsFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and working within federal or highly regulated environmentsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaborativelyPreferred Qualifications:Experience supporting federal government contractsMicrosoft certifications in Power BI or Power PlatformFamiliarity with NIST, FISMA, or FedRAMP security requirementsUnderstanding of cloud platforms like Azure for data servicesLocation: Hybrid – Preferred candidates local to the DC metro areaClearance: Must be clearable (Public Trust or higher)
