We are looking for a Senior People and Talent Business Partner to join our mission-driven team in our continued effort to inspire people to eat more plants! The role is integral in fostering a workplace consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the company.

Reporting to the SVP, People, this role will serve as a strategic people leader supporting all functions and levels of the business. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about enabling people to do their best work by providing guidance and leadership, and leveraging and sharing their knowledge and skill. This role is ideal for someone with proven talent acquisition management experience, and a few years of HR management experience eager to expand the scope and impact of their work across the full range of HR functions (Recruitment, Talent Management and Organizational Design, Employee Engagement and Culture, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, Compliance and more).

Location

  • This role is located in our Chicago, IL office and requires 2-3 days onsite in Fulton Market
  • Purple Carrot also has an office outside of Boston, MA and some travel will be expected

What You'll do

HR Business Partner

  • Leading various HR programs and projects to help us attract, engage and retain top talent
  • Developing managers into effective leaders by building trusting relationships and coaching in areas including performance management, compensation and rewards, employee relations, recruitment, leadership, communications, and engagement
  • Identifying and implementing systems and process improvements for various HR programs
  • Solving complex HR issues by collaborating across the company
  • Ensuring fair and consistent interpretation and compliance with company, federal, state, and local HR policies and procedures
  • Stretching into ad-hoc projects and work that drive business results

Talent Acquisition

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across all departments and levels, from job intake to offer.
  • Develop job descriptions, sourcing strategies, and interview plans in partnership with hiring managers.
  • Maintain and improve our applicant tracking system (ATS) and reporting processes.
  • Manage candidate experience and employer branding across platforms (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.).
  • Lead and support onboarding processes in partnership with department leads and People Ops.

Main Ingredients

  • 7+ years of HRBP/Generalist experience
  • 5+ years of recruiting experience
  • Experience in businesses with geographically distributed operations and broad range of employee skills and job functions
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or related business field, or equivalent experience.
  • Formal education in human resources or related business field (Bachelors, Masters/MBA and/or PHR certification) would be a plus but not required
  • Able to commute to office and partner sites in Chicago in hybrid model

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $100,000 - 130,000 with additional earning potential. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications, and the posted range is not a guarantee of any specific offer.
