Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Payroll Tax Analyst.

This role involves managing payroll tax compliance, reporting, and filings, requiring in-depth knowledge of payroll administration and tax regulations at all levels. The Senior Payroll Tax Analyst will ensure accurate record-keeping, manage agency notices, stay updated on new jurisdictions, and assist with year-end filings such as W2 and 1042. The candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in handling tax notices and navigating complex compliance issues.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit knowledge of payroll practices, policies, procedures, and laws concerning payroll taxes and processing.
  • Oversee tax analysts in payroll tax reconciliation and review processes.
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile payroll tax forms for federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Respond to notices from IRS and other agencies promptly.
  • Coordinate with tax service providers and treasury to ensure timely and accurate tax payments.
  • Update tax registrations for new jurisdictions.
  • Lead year-end reconciliation, filing, and distribution of W-2 and 1042 forms.
  • Resolve Salesforce cases related to payroll taxes.
  • Assist with system testing and payroll metrics reporting.
  • Recommend process improvements and maintain foreign national taxation databases.
  • Oversee reporting of imputed income and manage third-party sick pay data processing.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required, with at least five years of payroll administration experience, including knowledge of Foreign National Tax, W2 reporting, and multi-state regulations. Must have strong research skills, proficiency in Excel and Microsoft applications, and experience with PeopleSoft or similar systems. Experience with unemployment insurance regulations and government agency interactions is essential. Excellent communication skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA or CPP certification (preferred).
  • Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft HCM, Windstar reporting, UKG (Kronos), or other relevant systems (preferred).

Qualified candidates must communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
