Job DescriptionWe're seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Paid Social Media Strategist to lead the execution and optimization of direct response and brand campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, and other paid social platforms. This role is critical in driving acquisition, engagement, and retention through best-in-class campaign strategies. Candidates should have deep expertise in Meta platforms and experience managing complex campaigns in a fast-paced, agency-style environment. This position can be located in any of our newspaper markets in Texas: Houston, San Antonio, or Austin. What will you do? Plan, build, and manage direct response and branding ad campaigns across Meta, Pinterest, Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, and emerging platforms. Execute A/B and multivariate tests to optimize targeting (geo, demo, device, audience), creative, bidding strategies, and placements. Monitor KPIs and campaign performance across multiple reporting platforms. Provide actionable insights and regular progress updates. Partner with other product teams such as organic and influencer, or creative, and analytics teams to align campaign objectives with user experience and performance data. Interface directly with clients and sales teams to support campaign launches, provide troubleshooting, and deliver performance reporting. Stay ahead of trends, recommend emerging platforms, and lead innovations in automation, CAPI + Pixel tracking, and CRM integrations. Develop paid social media plans tailored to acquisition and retention goals. Support seasonal and promotional initiatives across other marketing channels as needed.What will it take to be successful? 3-5 years in social media marketing with a focus on paid social campaigns. Experience with ad copywriting, Meta ad manager, CRM Integrations, CAPI + Pixel tracking, A/B testing, and proficiency with Zapier and automation flows. Bachelor's degree required preferably in Marketing of Communications Strong analytical skills with competency in speaking to metrics across multiple reporting systems.
