Senior Optics Manufacturing Engineer - Ametek : Job Details

Develop and refine manufacturing processes for optical components using materials such as glass, ceramics, and crystals. Advance fabrication techniques through experimental design and validation. Design and improve tooling, fixtures, and mechanical assemblies for coated and uncoated optics. Improve yields, reduce defects, and lower cost of poor quality (COPQ) while ensuring compliance with MIL and ISO standards. Create detailed manufacturing instructions, process validation records, and ensure adherence to precision manufacturing standards. Lead cross-functional initiatives, collaborate with technical experts, and mentor junior engineers to strengthen team capabilities.
