*Description*Job DescriptionTEKsystems is seeking a Systems / Network Engineer in Dahlgren, VA. Responsible for maintaining multiple computing environments by identifying network requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring network performance, and managing network configuration consistency. The Systems/Network Engineer will provide engineering, design, and implementation solutions for multiple network architectures.ResponsibilitiesImplement local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, & other data networks.Experience with network routers and switch configuration. Environment includes Artysen, Cisco, Mellanox and Asante switches.Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and system performance.Perform network modeling and analysis.Define diagrams and designs for business technology initiatives.Enforce policies for standardizing systems.RequirementsThree years of experience in networking, IT, or related fields preferred.Familiarity with researching communication networks.Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.Good documentation skills and ability to write clear, concise project reports.Ability to work with minimal instruction or supervision, or as part of a team reporting to a formal project.SkillsNetwork engineering, Cisco routers, WANAdditional Skills & QualificationsNice to have BGP/IPV6 experience, solid 3-4 layer experience, Openstack experience.Experience LevelExpert LevelPay and BenefitsThe pay range is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
