Senior Multi-media Designer
We're looking for a seasoned, well-qualified Senior Multi-media Designer with a passion for storytelling and a deep expertise in video creation, motion graphics, editing, and production to join our in-house creative studio. This strategic and visionary role is essential in shaping our brand's visual narrative across digital, print, and video platforms. As a senior team member, you'll lead the creative development of compelling, business-driving content, guide the evolution of our visual identity, and mentor junior talent to push the boundaries of design excellence. The ideal candidate combines enterprise-level thinking with hands-on video mastery and a proven ability to bring bold, integrated ideas to life.
This position is eligible to work onsite, remote or hybrid (9 or more days a month on site) in accordance with our Telecommuting Policy. Applicants must reside in Kansas or Missouri or be willing to relocate as a condition of employment.

What You'll Do
- Lead the creative development and visual execution of enterprise-level marketing campaigns and brand initiatives across digital, print, social media, video/motion, and experiential platforms.
- Influence cross-functional collaboration by partnering with copywriters, marketers, and business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into powerful creative solutions.
- Drive the continuous evolution of the brand's visual identity system, ensuring scalability, innovation, and adherence across all touchpoints.
- Establish and maintain design governance processes, including quality control, brand standards, and best practices across the organization.
- Prepare and oversee the creation of accurate, production-ready files for both digital publication and traditional print distribution, ensuring technical precision.
- Lead the development of scalable creative systems, templates, and workflows to maximize efficiency while preserving brand integrity.
- Research and introduce new creative tools, technologies, and design innovations to keep the organization at the forefront of industry trends.
- Present creative work to executive stakeholders with strategic rationale, elevating the perception and role of creative within the enterprise.
- Serve as a creative mentor and coach to junior and mid-level designers, building design capabilities and fostering a culture of creative excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic creative counsel to senior marketing and business leaders to ensure visual solutions align with brand strategy and organizational goals.
What You Need Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); familiarity with motion graphics/video (After Effects, PremierePro, Final Cut) or UX/UI tools (Figma) highly desirable.
- Exceptional visual storytelling, typography, and layout expertise applied across multiple media formats.
- Exceptional command of brand identity systems, campaign development, and omnichannel marketing strategies. Confident communicator with the ability to influence and lead creative discussions with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills, with an emphasis on quality, deadline adherence and creative problem solving.
- Exceptional attention to detail, craftsmanship, and commitment to high creative standards. Oversees the craftsmanship and quality of others.
- Deep understanding of digital, print, experiential, and motion/video content creation, production processes and vendor management.
- Skilled in mentoring, coaching, and developing design talent to build a high-performing creative team.
- Proven ability to lead projects independently, making high-impact decisions that drive organizational brand performance.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Videography, or a related field like Photography, Fine Art or Communications is required. In lieu of a degree, experience in an agency, marketing department or freelance work may suffice.
- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive professional design experience, with demonstrated success leading projects within an agency or in-house creative environment.
- Proven experience advising senior leadership, managing high-profile creative initiatives, and mentoring junior designers.
- Portfolio demonstrating advanced conceptual and design thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex ideas into clear, compelling visual storytelling and communication, required.
- Experience working in or adjacent to highly regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services) preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to participate in video meetings (on-screen) and collaborate virtually or in person.
- Occasional need to work outside normal business hours to meet project deadlines.
