  • Make a real impact in patient care. We're seeking an experienced and certified MR Technologist to perform high-quality MRI imaging and ensure exceptional diagnostic outcomes in our state-of-the-art outpatient radiology department.
  • Position Overview
    • As a Senior MR Technologist, you will play a key role in the radiology team, delivering precise and patient-centered imaging services. You'll perform MRI scans using advanced imaging protocols, manage patient interactions, and contribute to both quality assurance and research initiatives. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an ARRT-certified technologist with a passion for imaging excellence.
    Key ResponsibilitiesMRI Imaging & Patient Care
    • Conduct MRI exams per established imaging protocols with consistency and precision
    • Review MRI screening forms and patient histories to ensure safety and eligibility
    • Position patients and explain procedures to deliver a comfortable experience
    • Administer intravenous contrast materials as certified under NYS regulations
    • Apply age-appropriate MRI dose parameters for pediatric through geriatric patients
    Quality Assurance & Compliance
    • Maintain high diagnostic quality by reviewing images and ensuring proper labeling
    • Perform routine QA procedures and assist in physician-directed research projects
    • Operate and manage PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
    • Clean and maintain MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance
    Administrative & System Responsibilities
    • Accurately track and bill procedures using the EPIC System
    • Adhere to institutional policies and Department of Veteran's Affairs (DVN) guidelines
    QualificationsRequired:
    • Associate's Degree in Medical Radiography or equivalent experience
    • ARRT Certification (Radiologic Technologist) and MRI Certification or eligibility
    • Valid NYS Contrast Injection Certification
    • Current BLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross)
    • Minimum 2 years of MRI experience or equivalent clinical training
    Preferred:
    • Experience working in an outpatient radiology setting
    • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including occasional Saturdays
    Schedule
    • Monday-Friday, 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM(With rotating OT and some Saturday coverage)
