Job Description :

Hover is making the homeowner journey easy, transparent and fun. Starting with the home improvement industry, we're answering age-old questions like, “What is it going to look like?” and “What is it going to cost?”, by helping homeowners and pros visualize what's possible with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and interactive 3D property models. Homeowners, contractors, and insurance professionals all use Hover to get fully measured, accurate, and interactive models of any property—in a matter of minutes, and with just a few snaps of a smartphone camera.

Join a team that is rooted in challenging the status quo, persistence, and dedicated to serving our employees, customers, and communities. With key investors, including Google Ventures and Menlo Ventures and leading insurance carriers such as Travelers, State Farm, and Nationwide, Hover is committed to changing the world, one home at a time. At Hover, we believe there is strength in diversity and are fostering an inclusive and diverse culture by hiring qualified, talented people from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Why Hover wants you

We're looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to join our Capture SDK team—a tight-knit, high-impact group at the heart of Hover's 3D capture technology. This is not your typical app development role. You'll be building the mobile foundation that powers Hover's ability to reconstruct the real world from a smartphone, creating immense value for our customers and partners.

This role blends low-level camera access, real-time data processing, ARKit innovation, and 3D rendering, all wrapped in a performant, developer-friendly SDK. If you're excited about pushing the boundaries of what's possible with mobile sensors, AR, machine learning, and computer vision, you'll feel right at home here.

You will contribute by

Shaping the future of our architecture as we adopt Swift 6, SwiftUI, and modern concurrency models

Working directly with ARKit, CoreML, LiDAR, 3D rendering pipelines, and different types of latest technologies to create immersive, intelligent capture experiences

Re-architecting and modularizing our Capture SDK for performance, scalability, and ease of integration

Building modern, asynchronous data flows and real-time UI pipelines optimized for AR and camera responsiveness

Elevating our testing strategy and CI/CD systems to meet production-grade quality and reliability standards

Prototyping, experimenting, and shipping new features in AR, spatial computing, and intelligent feedback systems

Collaborating across design, product, and engineering to influence the roadmap and build tools developers love

Your background includes

5+ years building robust, scalable iOS applications in Swift, with deep knowledge of SwiftUI/UIKit and modern async/concurrent programming

Proficiency with 3D camera models—including intrinsic/extrinsic matrices—and their practical application in ARKit, rendering pipelines, and backend data flows

Solid grasp of scalable architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM, or other modern architecture), with experience designing modular, maintainable systems

Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, and a desire to foster a strong testing culture

Skills in performance tuning, profiling, and optimizing app responsiveness and memory usage

Comfortable collaborating across disciplines—design, product, 3D artists, and backend engineers

Strong sense of ownership and initiative—proactively leads features, proposes improvements, and follows through on delivery

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Familiarity with depth maps, projection transforms, or camera calibration is a big plus

Exposure to Metal, Graphic Programming, RealityKit, or SceneKit

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bitrise, GitHub Actions)

Experience with machine learning, computer vision, and deep learning

Compensation - Competitive salary and meaningful equity in a fast-growing company

Healthcare - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and dependents

Paid Time Off - Unlimited and flexible vacation policy

Paid Family Leave - We support work/life balance and offer generous paid parental and new child bonding leave

Mandatory Self-Care Days - A day set aside each month to allow employees to recharge

Remote Wellbeing Resources - We provide recurring fitness classes, meditation/ mindfulness tools, virtual therapy, and family planning assistance

Learning - We encourage continued education and will help cover the cost of management training, conferences, workshops, or certifications
