Senior Mechanical Program Manager - Celtic Engineering : Job Details

Celtic Engineering, Inc. is growing — and we're looking for a Senior Mechanical Program Manager to join our team! We're a recognized leader in machine design and specialty engineering across the entertainment, industrial, and aerospace industries.

This role offers the opportunity to lead large, diverse mechanical engineering projects from concept through commissioning. You'll oversee planning, budgeting, and day-to-day coordination of engineering and fabrication tasks, collaborating with both internal teams and external vendors. Candidates with an active PE license are encouraged to apply, but we also welcome seasoned engineers without licensure who bring strong project leadership and design skills.

Your Contributions to Our Team:

· Lead all phases of mechanical engineering projects: planning, execution, oversight, and delivery

· Drive project execution by actively managing and adapting to evolving priorities, client expectations, and creative direction.

· Oversee collaboration between internal engineering, manufacturing, and external vendors to ensure project success.

· Lead and contribute to proposal development, including drafting scopes of work, estimating budgets and timelines, and planning staffing.

· Organize and facilitate client and internal meetings with clear agendas, ensuring timely communication of progress, risks, and key updates to all stakeholders.

· Lead and mentor project staff to maintain efficient workflow and adapt plans dynamically in response to evolving project needs.

· Contribute technical leadership, providing engineering judgment and creativity in concept development, problem-solving, and design reviews.

· Support business development by helping identify and pursue new project opportunities alongside leadership and clients.

· Champion quality, fostering technical excellence through peer reviews, process improvements, and internal collaboration.

What Contributions Do You Bring with You?

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required), graduate degree preferred
• 10+ years of successful experience in mechanical engineering, plus 5+ years in project and team leadership roles.
• Demonstrated mechanical design creativity, with strong attention to detail and ability to connect design to broader project goals.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments is a plus.
• US PE license is a strong asset but not mandatory
