SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a company in Bessemer, AL. This role involves supporting program teams delivering new modular buildings for healthcare clients across multiple states, emphasizing modern design, quality, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Design HVAC & Plumbing systems to meet project requirements.
  • Perform system and equipment design, collaborate with architects and engineers, and model project elements.
  • Conduct calculations and analyses for HVAC and Plumbing systems, including load, duct sizing, and water systems.
  • Layout piping and create system diagrams for water, drainage, and hydronic systems.
  • Support manufacturing design drawings, modeling, and detailing for construction.
  • Generate and maintain project models for permitting and fabrication.
  • Perform quality checks and ensure designs comply with codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with installation teams to improve quality and efficiency.
    • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree + 5-10 years in HVAC engineering.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork ability.
    • Punctuality and deadline adherence.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • PE license preferred.
    • Experience in healthcare facility design and 3D modeling (Revit, AutoCAD) preferred.
