Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and oversight of healthcare facility systems, with a strong emphasis on hospital infrastructure and infection-control compliant designs. Candidate can reside in Philadelphia or South Jersey.
Compensation DOE
- $180K is highest DOE
- $150-180K for mid-range
- $125K Entry
- Profit sharing, bonuses, and incentives.
Location: Voorhees, NJ
Responsibilities
Manage and direct project staff, focusing on team efficiency, project scope, detail level, and budget.Design Mechanical / HVAC / Plumbing or Fire Protection systems as per client requirements and under the guidance of the Chief Engineer / Director.Perform as the Engineer of Record signing and sealing drawings when applicable.Conduct load calculations and energy modeling using programs like eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR, and Carrier HAP.Review projects to ensure standards, client requirements, and budgets are met; provide design review for QA/QC.Perform engineering calculations, develop specifications, and check mechanical and HVAC drawings for technical correctness.Provide guidance to less experienced engineers and draftspersons.Conduct site surveys, attend pre-bid meetings, and support field construction and administration tasks.Assist in training and developing subordinate engineers.Contribute to proposal development, client management, and project execution.Desired Skills and Experience
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 15 years of progressive engineering and managerial experience.
- Experience in Energy Efficiency, Sustainability, and Design Build Construction preferred.
- PE licensure preferred.
- MBA or similar certifications preferred.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal codes.
- Deep knowledge of Mechanical / HVAC / Plumbing and Fire Protection systems.
- Experience with load analysis and energy modeling programs.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit is a plus.
- Knowledge of USGBC LEED standards is a plus.
- Strong time management, communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Problem-solving, multi-tasking, and workflow management skills.
- Financial management skills and business acumen.
- Willingness to participate in professional development.
