Run what runs the world.This Position reports to:Engineering Manager IIn this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.The work model for the role is: onsite Florence, SC.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute mechanical design projects for Medium Voltage MCCs
• Develop detailed drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation for manufacturing and customer use.
• Provide hands-on support to production staff, addressing issues quickly with a strong sense of urgency and ownership.
• Serve as a technical point of contact for customer inquiries, design reviews, and engineering support.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEEE, ANSI, UL).
• Participate in design validation, testing, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with electrical engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to optimize product performance and cost.
• Drive innovation through R&D initiatives, contributing to new product development and product improvements

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in medium voltage equipment (MCCs, switchgear, panelboards).
• Experience with product development and R&D processes.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, sheet metal design, and enclosure systems.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, SolidWorks Composer, Creo, AutoCAD or similar) and PLM systems
• Ability to read and interpret customer specifications and technical standards.
• Experience working in a factory environment or close collaboration with production teams.
• Strong understanding of risk identification and mitigation strategies in engineering projects.
