IMEG is growing, and we'd love for you to join our team! We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in our Urbandale, IA office. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing leadership, mentoring, and training for less experienced staff, which may include technical, project management, marketing, or business development aspects.

Some key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Complete design responsibilities by discipline for projects of all sizes.
  • Make major design recommendations and decisions with minimal input from senior staff.
  • Plan design work by discipline for all project sizes and assign duties to staff.
  • Review correspondence prepared by junior staff.
  • Participate actively in quality control of projects.

Technical Path:

  • Lead aspects of our Technical Operations Team for both large and small projects.
  • Serve as an advisor, analyze technical problems, and write reports.
  • Play a key role in project reviews for quality control on large, complex projects.
  • Provide technical assistance on-site and resolve technical issues with minimal assistance.

OR

Project Management Path:

  • Effectively serve as Project Manager on large or multiple smaller projects.
  • Identify prospective clients, assist in marketing efforts, and prepare proposals.
  • Secure new work and participate in client presentations.

Key skills and abilities needed:

  • Leadership with clear communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Mastery of technical aspects of mechanical engineering.
  • Aptitude for designing and managing major projects.
  • Ability to perform final quality control checks.

Education and experience requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer license.
  • Minimum of 18 years of relevant experience.
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Salary Range: $106,000 - $167,000, based on experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Benefits include bonuses, stock options, health insurance, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement plans, paid holidays, and PTO.
