They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design, develop, and iterate on advanced reactor systems and critical mechanical assemblies that power their transformative technology. This role spans concept development, high-performance design, prototyping, and buildout within a highly collaborative engineering environment. Why Join:

  • Revolutionary Impact: Work on a Client hydrogen generation technology poised to transform the energy sector and combat climate change.
  • Career Growth: Lead mechanical designs from concept to production, mentor early-career engineers, and collaborate with experts across disciplines.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Competitive compensation, stock options, and relocation assistance for top talent.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Own the mechanical design of reactor components, including vessels, flanges, welded structures, frames, and articulated mechanisms.
  • Lead CAD modeling, detailed drawing creation, and documentation for complex mechanical assemblies.
  • Perform stress and thermal analysis using hand calculations and FEA (ANSYS Workbench preferred).
  • Contribute to structural and sealing design for high-temperature environments.
  • Develop and iterate designs based on test stand performance and experimental data.
  • Specify tolerances and GD&T; execute tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with thermal, combustion, transfer, and controls engineers.
  • Support prototype fabrication, test setup, and early-stage design validation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and coordinate design reviews.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering within industrial or high-performance environments.
  • Hands-on experience designing welded structures, skids, and articulated mechanisms.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and experience creating production-ready drawings.
  • Strong experience with thermal-mechanical FEA (thermal, structural).
  • Strong communicator and collaborator on multidisciplinary teams.
