Salary Range: The full pay range for this role is $105,100 - $175,100 annually. The target range is $130,000 to $155,000 annually. Salary decisions are based on factors like experience, education, and location.

Scope of Job:

We are open to candidates with less than 7 years of experience for the role of Measurement Systems Engineer.

EDF Power Solutions seeks an initiative-taking problem-solver to design and manage meteorological measurement systems for wind and solar energy projects. The ideal candidate has technical expertise in measurement systems, strong project management skills, and a passion for data accuracy to support a sustainable energy future.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, procure, and commission measurement systems for wind and solar projects, including meteorological towers, solar assessment stations, and wind profiling lidars.
  • Manage third-party contractors for system installation and maintenance, ensuring safety and quality standards.
  • Oversee the fleet of measurement systems, troubleshoot issues, and maintain operational integrity.
  • Develop specifications for procurement and construction, providing technical review during project phases.
  • Lead wind turbine power curve testing activities per IEC standards, including planning, management, and reporting.
  • Maintain and update measurement management platforms and databases for stakeholder communication.
  • Build relationships with vendors, contractors, and consultants.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervision of Others: None

Working Conditions: 85% office work, 15% site visits across North America, including conferences and meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science/technology discipline. Professional Engineer registration in Canada is required for some roles.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with instrumentation, measurement systems, or renewable energy projects. Less experienced candidates may be considered for related roles.
  • Experience with data loggers (Campbell Scientific, NRG) and IEC standards is a plus.
  • Contractor management experience on meteorological projects is a plus.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Motivated, proactive team player.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • French and English proficiency required in Canada.

Physical Requirements: Ability to travel within North America for 5-7 days and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
