Overview

Responsibilities
  • Perform design reviews, evaluate constructability, help resolve technical issues, and manage information generated through the design and construction phases of multiple and concurrent projects.
  • Design, develop and evaluate operation of shipboard HVAC & Refrigeration systems.
  • Conduct HVAC & R trade studies, reviews and provide comments on new US Coast Guard acquisition cutter and boat HVAC & R system designs.
  • Lead engineers in development efforts, reviews of technical data packages.
  • Provide engineering support in the analysis of all HVAC & R related technical issues and design challenges.
  • Support the US Coast Guard reviewing third party design modifications and improvements.
  • Conduct ship visits.
  • Develop Engineering Changes of HVAC & R systems.
  • Conduct mechanical engineering & psychrometric analysis.
  • Research advanced engineering designs and/or applications.
  • Prepare technical reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance
  • At least 5+ years of experience in design, development, installation and operation of shipboard HVAC and/or Refrigeration systems and related equipment.
Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $78,100.00/Yr. - USD $164,300.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
