We are actively seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with one of our valued clients an established and innovative leader in precision machining and advanced manufacturing. This is a critical role for an experienced engineer who thrives in a high-tech, fast-paced environment focused on continuous improvement, CNC process optimization, and new product introduction.

Position Summary:

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will lead efforts to improve performance, efficiency, and quality across CNC milling and turning operations. Responsibilities include process development, machine programming (primarily using Mastercam), and hands-on troubleshooting of machining and production challenges. This role offers the chance to directly influence manufacturing outcomes and drive strategic process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for CNC machining operations.

  • Program CNC machines using Mastercam to create efficient, high-precision toolpaths.

  • Provide technical support to machinists and operators to ensure smooth, quality-driven production.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve tooling, setup, and machine performance issues.

  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and program management teams to ensure manufacturability and adherence to specifications.

  • Support new product introduction, including BOM creation, router setup, work instructions, training requirements, and supplier qualifications.

  • Lead or participate in improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, reduce cycle times, and improve quality and yield.

  • Contribute to quality assurance efforts within assigned programs and production areas.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 5 years of relevant hands-on manufacturing experience.

  • Strong CNC machining experience, including 5-axis milling, mill-turn, and multi-axis turning centers.

  • Proficiency in Mastercam programming required.

  • Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, CMMs, etc.).

  • Solid understanding of GD&T, manufacturing quality control, and process standards.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Regular standing, walking, and use of hands to operate machinery and tools.

  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.

  • Exposure to typical shop floor conditions, including moderate to high noise levels.

  • Use of standard protective equipment such as safety glasses and hearing protection is required.
