Warby Parker is seeking a Senior Manager, Tax to support our growing Accounting team. In this position, you'll oversee our income tax reporting, compliance, and planning, helping to ensure the success of our ability to do business across the U.S. and Canada. We will count on you to enhance our processes and collaborate with team members across the business from Finance, Accounting, Retail, R&D, and beyond. Responsibilities include leading the quarterly and annual tax provision process with respect to ASC 740, managing coordination with third-party vendors on material tax positions, overseeing preparation of corporate tax returns and related workpapers for federal, state, and local reporting obligations, establishing processes to ensure accurate accounting of income and related taxes, developing tax analytics for budgeting and planning, providing cross-functional support on tax positions and special projects such as R&D tax credit and enterprise software implementations, and conducting detailed tax research and planning to stay informed of tax regulatory developments. Candidates should have 7+ years of broad and progressive tax experience, preferably in public accounting or corporate tax, a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MST/MSA preferred), ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication. Extra credit for retail industry knowledge, experience with Sage Fixed Asset or comparable tax depreciation software, and Oracle Fusion experience.
