Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior Manager, Social Media & Digital Marketing, to join our newly formed Integrated Marketing team within the Marketing & Business Development function. This team plays a key role in delivering a modern, brand-led marketing strategy to enhance the Firm's profile and support growth ambitions. Under the leadership of a new Chief Marketing Officer, the team values diverse experience and expertise, both from within and outside the legal industry. Our collective goal is to support the Firm's business objectives, promote its global brand, and craft a compelling narrative for clients, prospects, and employees.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the digital voice and presence of a respected law firm. The successful candidate will lead the evolution of our social media strategy, amplify the digital profiles of Firm executives, and optimize user experiences across our website and digital channels.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Shape and evolve White & Case's global social media strategy to increase visibility, engagement, and support business objectives.
  • Identify key audience segments, including clients, prospects, recruits, and influencers of legal reputation.
  • Develop social-first campaigns to support storytelling at both brand and practice levels (e.g., M&A, debt finance, litigation).
  • Leverage social media best practices and trends to foster modernization and innovation.
  • Partner with teams to manage and grow the social media presence of firm leaders, including content creation and performance analysis.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on effective social media use, providing data-driven guidance and recommendations.
  • Enhance the Employee Advocacy program to build client relationships and strengthen reputation.
  • Expand recruitment marketing efforts across platforms like Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Reddit, etc.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyze performance trends, and deliver insights for optimization.
  • Utilize tools such as Hootsuite, TalkWalker, and Canva to improve campaign workflows and creative output.

Digital Marketing

  • Collaborate with teams to enhance the Firm's website for a user-friendly and impactful online presence.
  • Implement data-driven strategies to increase qualified leads from digital channels.
  • Improve SEO and digital funnel performance to boost visibility and conversions.
  • Stay updated on digital trends, user behavior, and marketing innovations.
  • Support global recruitment marketing for entry-level, lateral hires, and business professionals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field; advanced degrees (MA, JD, MBA) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in digital marketing and social media strategy, preferably in B2B or professional services.
  • Proven success in developing integrated marketing campaigns that drive results and enhance brand equity.
  • Deep knowledge of global social platforms, trends, and audience behaviors, including LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, X/Twitter, Reddit, and emerging platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong editorial sense and attention to tone.
  • High attention to detail, strategic thinking, and a collaborative approach.

Location and Reporting

  • This role is based in our New York office.
  • Reports to the Director, Integrated Marketing.
