The Senior Managing Consultant-Infrastructure operates as a key contributor or team member of large or mega-deal Strategy, Assessment, Transaction, or Sourcing Management engagements. They participate as part of an advisory services team in delivering Consulting Firms Methodology and tools to support client sourcing initiatives.

The Senior Managing Consultant-Infrastructure assists and leads in developing strategies and assessments, project plans, vendor selections, financial modeling, RFP creation, contract negotiations, governance activities related to application development and maintenance services and/or IT infrastructure services, as well as post-selection implementation, management, and administrative actions. They are responsible for generating client revenue and managing projects that generate revenue.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of information technology, specifically infrastructure strategy, service delivery, outsourcing contracts, operating models, and service provider management.
  • Minimum of 8 to 15 years of demonstrated work experience, preferably working for an outsourcing service provider in roles including technology strategy, architecture, service delivery management, and management of IT organizations. Equivalent experience on the client side managing large-scale operations in a Shared Services or outsourced environment.
  • Serve as an SME with deep technical knowledge in areas such as Data Center operations (Mainframe and/or Server), Managed Network Services, End User Computing, Service Desk.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies in these areas.
  • Significant knowledge of IT trends and capabilities and their impact on business strategy.
  • Assist and oversee the implementation and delivery of Strategic IT Programs within agreed timelines, quality standards, and budgets.
  • Knowledge or expertise with Cloud Computing (IaaS, SaaS) is a plus.
  • Experience working with contractual relationships with on-shore and off-shore sourcing suppliers.
  • Significant knowledge of Tier 1 and Tier 2 application development and maintenance service providers.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in financial management of global outsourced services and providers.
  • Thorough understanding of global corporate financial practices, including cost drivers and working with Service Providers for cost-effective solutions and SLAs.
  • 6+ years of experience in developing and supporting complex global infrastructure, including off-shore solutions.
  • Experience at Big 4 or large consulting firms is a plus.
  • Focus on transformation, shared services, operational improvement, and outsourcing/offshoring.
  • BDM and sales experience, including prospecting, proposal writing, and sales support.
  • Practice development experience, including collateral and IP development.
  • Ability to perform strategic assessment and transactional consulting at senior levels, understanding the full sourcing lifecycle.
  • Team development and management experience, including recruiting, mentoring, and utilization management.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly to all management levels.

Education: Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in a technical or scientific field; MBA/MS or other advanced degrees preferred.

Travel: 75%-100% required.

Computer Experience: Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
