Position Summary
We're seeking a senior-level, strategic marketing leader to drive customer retention and long-term engagement by leveraging our most valuable loyalty assets—including the Sam's Club credit card, Sam's Cash tender, and Bonus Offer Platform. This role is responsible for increasing awareness, adoption, and continued use of these loyalty drivers, helping maximize member lifetime value and engagement across the enterprise. The Senior Manager will serve as a key leader and voice of loyalty within the marketing organization, integrating the credit program into major marketing campaigns and leading results-driven, cross-functional collaboration.
What you'll do
- Loyalty & Retention Marketing
- Develop and lead integrated campaigns that drive awareness, adoption, and ongoing use of loyalty drivers: Sam's Club credit card, Sam's Cash, and the Bonus Offer Platform.
- Design personalized, behavior-based campaigns to increase repeat engagement, frequency, and tenure growth.
- Own test-and-learn strategies to improve targeting, offers, timing, and engagement across all loyalty programs.
- Track and report performance to stakeholders, using insights to refine strategies and reduce churn.
- Credit Program Integration
- Identify and incorporate credit program strategies into enterprise-wide marketing initiatives (e.g., Member Month, Grand Openings, major offers, service launches).
- Serve as the primary marketing advocate for credit, promoting goals and impact across the marketing organization.
- Lead cross-functional credit marketing strategies, collaborating with other strategic marketers for opportunities.
- Strategic Leadership & Optimization
- Support annual credit marketing planning and budgeting aligned with business priorities.
- Utilize member and performance insights to inform marketing strategies and investments.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance campaign execution and operational efficiency.
- Influence the broader member engagement roadmap through collaboration and leadership updates.
Qualifications

- You have a minimum of 5–8 years of retention marketing experience in a B2C environment, including at least 3 years focused on loyalty programs or co-branded credit card marketing.
- Deep understanding of cardholder acquisition and activation strategies, customer lifecycle engagement, and behavioral marketing.
- Industry experience in travel, hospitality, retail, e-commerce, or financial services is a bonus.
- Experience working with omni-channel marketing teams and external agencies to develop loyalty campaigns and promotions.
- Ability to create and manage partnerships with stakeholders for effective marketing campaigns.
- Proficient in CRM, personalization, and marketing performance tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with a bias for action and strong project management capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, plus 3 years' experience in marketing or related field, or 7 years' experience in marketing or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Leading cross-functional projects, supervisory experience, Master's in Business Administration preferred.
