About the Role Support our distribution centers by driving our Supply Chain strategic roadmap through a diversified approach of engineering principles and practices to successfully maximize productivity, quality, and service. Build bench strength and support succession planning through continuous coaching and development of direct reports across multiple sites. Develop strong internal and external professional relationships with other functional leaders, business partners, and corporate entities. Drive process improvement through consistent analysis methods and standards, identify best practices, benchmarks, and areas for improvement to balance cost, service, and productivity. Implement continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives by educating and influencing operational leaders to improve performance metrics. Maintain a continuous focus to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, reduce costs, grow revenue, and enhance performance, quality, and productivity. Establish and maintain effective cross-functional relationships with business partners, including internal/external customers, through education and influence to improve performance metrics. Provide engineering support in facility expansion, warehouse automation, and new DC start-up projects. Create a culture and environment where teams are inspired to creatively take risks in search of diverse ideas for improving operational process efficiencies. Influence strategy for the area/team. Benchmark and align facility metrics, processes, and tools to identify opportunities and standardize operating procedures. Create database models and provide analytical support to management in data-driven decision-making. Must appear in the office 4 days per week; WFH permissible 1 day per week.Salary Range: $124,800/year - $180,000/year. Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies, and work location. We will meet the minimum wage or the minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county, and state requirements.What You'll Do Conduct time studies to establish job-specific standards and task durations, focusing on sequencing.Manage Manhattan warehouse management system for labor management and workflow optimization, including input of standards, location creation, and travel time for associates.Understand product flow throughout the building to create efficient processes that save costs, with knowledge of rates specific to each DC's ASRS, Exotech, Kindred Orbs, and Accutech Autobaggers.Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, balancing new costs against inflation.Design and implement conveyors and technology solutions using AutoCAD, focusing on ergonomic and cost-efficient layouts.Design cost-effective work area layouts that increase production, considering volume relativity and work station usage to offset capital costs.Use Access/Excel to analyze data, identify trends, and support process improvements.Who You Are Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Industrial Engineering or a related field, with five (5) years of progressive experience in Industrial Engineering or a related role. Alternatively, a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field with three (3) years of relevant experience.
