As our Senior Manager, Content, you will shape and evolve how the Trail Blazers show up across social media. You will lead and mentor a team of content specialists and producers, develop and implement content strategy, and serve as a brand voice for the Trail Blazers. You will plan digital campaigns, capture live games and behind-the-scenes footage, and work closely with Creative Services to ensure content aligns across platforms.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced and collaborative people leader who knows how to guide, support, and inspire a team of creatives. We're looking for an innovative thinker and creative strategist with a deep passion for sports and storytelling. The Senior Manager, Content brings a strong understanding of social media platforms and trends and communicates clearly to drive alignment across creative teams and ensure content is sharp, engaging, and on-brand. DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of content specialists and producers, providing clarity, feedback, and coaching to foster their growth.
  • Develop and implement the Trail Blazers social media content plan across all platforms. Align social strategy with company and department goals, and broader marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice that adapts to the nature of each social platform.
  • Collaborate closely with video, photo, and design teams to ensure content is engaging, on-brand, and optimized for each platform.
  • Lead the organization's social media strategy on all networks, including identifying and ideating for new content channels and features as they become available.
  • Keep informed of emerging trends in social media and innovations in online content delivery and monetization.
  • Oversee social media engagement strategy, ensuring brand tone is upheld, and fans feel heard and appreciated. Create opportunities for fans to create and participate in the team's content.
  • Attend Trail Blazers games (home and road), practices, and events to capture a behind-the-scenes look into the team through interviews, photos, videos, and other content.
  • Lead regular reporting efforts, tracking content performance, identifying insights, and translating them into data-informed recommendations.
  • WE'D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU:

  • Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Digital, or related field.
  • Have at least one year of experience leading creative teams—providing clear guidance, meaningful feedback, and support through fast-paced, evolving priorities.
  • Have demonstrated work experience in content strategy, creation, or similar field, including hands-on experience as a content creator.
  • Have a strong passion for and understanding of digital and social media channels and trends.
  • Have experience leading and inspiring a team of creators, editors, and other contributors—fostering a collaborative, supportive environment.
  • Have strong instincts for what makes content entertaining and shareable.
  • Communicate effectively across teams.
  • Are self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, and are ready to learn on the job.
  • Can be nimble, balance a variety of projects, and stay calm in a live-event environment.
  • Are able to work in Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress.
  • Can work flexible hours that will include nights, weekends, and select holidays based on event schedule.
