New hires are eligible to apply 30 days after their effective date of hire.JOB TITLE:Senior Manager, Construction RiskAGENCY:Construction & DevelopmentDEPT/DIV:Delivery\InfrastructureREPORTS TO:Assistant Director, Construction RiskWORK LOCATION:2 BroadwayHOURS OF WORK:8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or as required (7.5HR/ DAY)HAY POINTS:677SALARY RANGE:$100,994 to $137,498DEADLINE:Open Until FilledSummaryThe Senior Manager Construction Risk will lead MTA Construction and Development's efforts to implement and oversee risk management for a medium-sized project for the MTA Capital Program within the Delivery Department. Responsible for escalating issues, making quick decisions, and enabling efficient and qualitative products pertaining to project risks. Oversees and develops managers and staff.ResponsibilitiesPromote, set up, and implement a risk management system, making it appropriate to the needs of a medium-sized program through the program lifecycle.Delivery of risk management services to the agency owner as a part of capital program delivery in compliance with MTA C&D's governance, processes, and objectives.Leads the development and implementation of program risk management plans.Delivery of discrete risk interventions, risk management services, and Construction Risk Managers/Analyst oversight.Support the delivery of value and risk exposure reduction through active mitigation of threats and maximization of opportunities.Facilitate and provide support for workshops in the client's environment, using advanced methods for risk, value, and lessons learned processes.Oversees day-to-day risk management activities, including identification, prioritization, register management, action planning, and monitoring.Production of periodic risk reporting, including profiled risk expenditure, impacted risk/drawdown, and risk exposure changes.Develop and undertake advanced Quantitative Risk Analysis, including Cost, Schedule, and integrated Cost and Schedule analyses, to enable robust forecasting and tracking of risk exposure.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of related experience.Competencies:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Must have focus and ability to deliver results, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.Must possess excellent team-building, listening, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.Proficient computer skills (i.e., Windows environment, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.) and strong business administrative skills (i.e., presentations, report and letter writing, time management, etc.).Other InformationPursuant to the New York State Public Officers Law & the MTA Code of Ethics, all employees who hold a policymaking position must file an Annual Statement of Financial Disclosure (FDS) with the NYS Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (the Commission ).Selection CriteriaBased on the evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.How to ApplyMTA employees must apply via My MTA Portal.
