As the Senior Manager of Cloud Sales, you will be at the helm of a dynamic team dedicated to acquiring new customers and expanding revenue derived from RapidScale's suite of managed cloud services, primarily focusing on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Your role involves recruiting, developing, and managing a team of Cloud Solution Consultants (CSCs) who will identify, advance, and close key cloud opportunities.
This leadership position carries sales quotas and requires effective collaboration across various functions, including working alongside Cox Business and channel sales teams to accelerate pipeline growth, enhance deal velocity, and meet ambitious growth targets. Your leadership will cultivate a results-driven sales culture while reinforcing RapidScale's status as a trusted partner in cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership and consistently exceed sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, focusing on both net-new and upsell opportunities.
- Recruit, onboard, and coach a team of CSCs to ensure they meet and surpass sales goals.
- Provide hands-on support for complex cloud sales deals and ensure exemplary execution in closing.
- Work closely with the Senior Director of Cloud Sales to align strategies for your territory and guide go-to-market initiatives.
- Collaborate with Cox Business and other indirect/channel partners to formulate joint strategies and succeed in co-selling.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key hyperscaler partners (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and strategic clients.
- Coordinate with marketing efforts to enhance brand positioning, generate leads, and raise awareness in targeted markets.
- Contribute feedback to product, operations, and executive leadership to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
- Represent RapidScale at industry events, partner meetings, and during customer engagements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in cloud/managed IT services, including 5+ years with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; or 12+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 3 years in a sales leadership role, successfully managing quota-carrying teams.
- Proven track record in closing complex, multi-stakeholder cloud solutions for enterprise and mid-market clients.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to effectively engage with clients, partners, and team members across regions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the Managed Services Provider (MSP) sector or at a cloud-focused systems integrator.
- Established connections within the AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud partner ecosystems.
- Technical understanding of cloud architectures and IT services (IaaS, PaaS, DaaS, DRaaS, cybersecurity, etc.).
