Responsibilities

We are seeking a seasoned, detail-oriented, and highly analytical Senior Financial Reporting & Accounting Manager to join our team. This individual will own the monthly and annual financial reporting process from end to end, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance across a sophisticated portfolio of entities and financial relationships. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical accounting expertise, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to synthesize and convey financial insights to both internal executives and external parties, including auditors, lenders, and underwriters.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare, update, and maintain monthly financial statements (including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements) for multiple entities.
  • Draft year-end financial statements with footnotes, formatted to the standard of an audit-ready deliverable.
  • Lead the internal preparation and coordination of GAAP-compliant financials for annual audits, reviews, and compilations.
  • Maintain and refine reporting packages for various executives, including family members, lenders, and tax advisors.

Accounting and Bookkeeping

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activity, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and classification of transactions.
  • Ensure proper categorization of expenses and revenue in alignment with entity purpose, tax treatment, and reporting requirements.

Covenant & Lender Compliance

  • Track and report on financial covenants tied to credit facilities and investor agreements.
  • Prepare and deliver lender/underwriter reporting packages, responding to inquiries and providing supporting documentation as needed.

Audit Coordination

  • Serve as the point person in coordinating annual audits and other attest services.
  • Prepare workpapers and respond to audit requests.
  • Work collaboratively with auditors to resolve questions and finalize reports.

Analytics & Presentations

  • Provide insightful monthly and quarterly reporting with trend analysis, budget-to-actual comparisons, and variance explanations.
  • Develop clean, visually polished financial dashboards and summaries for executive consumption.
  • Assist in special projects involving financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning.

General Requirements

  • Demonstrate creative thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with fluency in financial statement preparation and disclosure.
  • Prioritize and execute multiple projects with accuracy and timeliness in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Handle confidential financial information with the highest degree of discretion.

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.

Anticipated base salary range:$250,000-$300,000 base

Actual base salary within the anticipated range will be determined by several components including, but not limited to, the individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressively responsible accounting and reporting experience, ideally with a blend of public accounting and private sector roles
  • Experience preparing audit-level financials (either in-house or from a public accounting background)
  • Strong working knowledge of Quickbooks
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with financial modeling and visualization tools is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to translate complex data into executive-ready narratives
