SUMMARY The Senior Mammography Technologist is a modality subject expert and will demonstrate excellent customer service, communication skills, and obtain quality positioning and imaging quality studies.

STATUS: Full Time
LOCATION: Will rotate to different offices
DEPARTMENT: Ambulatory Imaging
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday (between 7AM-6PM). No holidays, evenings or weekends.
ATTRIBUTES- Two (2) year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent.
- NYS license in Radiologic Technology
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT-R)
- Prior Radiologic Technologist experience (preferred)
- ARRT-M Advanced Mammography Certification (preferred)
RESPONSIBILITIES- Mammography. Perform and/or assists diagnostic, screening, ultrasound and interventional mammography procedures; perform daily and periodic Mammography Quality Assurance (QA) activities under the direct supervision of the mammography QA Technologist; monitor image quality on a continuous basis to ensure that all quality standards are met
- General Maintenance. Monitor equipment for proper performance and functionality; clean, restock and prepare examination rooms on a daily basis
- Documentation. Complete all necessary documentation in the radiological information system (RIS) and/or patient charts
EDUCATION:AAS: Radiologic Technology
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: M - Mammography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), RT(R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
