Role Overview

The Sr. Maintenance Reliability Manager is responsible for developing and implementing maintenance programs to improve overall maintenance practices, increase equipment uptime, and optimize plant utilities functions. This role provides leadership and direction to the reliability team and reports to the Manufacturing Site Director, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient use of resources, capacity, and asset reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with Maintenance Leadership, Planners, Storeroom personnel, Engineers, Operators, and Mechanics.
  • Develop communication networks that promote interaction among mechanics, operators, Team Leaders, and Managers.
  • Create a proactive work environment involving mechanics in planning, coordination, and execution of work.
  • Develop and control the maintenance budget to optimize spending, capacity, and asset reliability.
  • Analyze operational data and equipment performance to improve maintenance metrics and KPIs.
  • Manage the reliability workforce, including succession planning, skills assessments, and training.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve manufacturing process reliability and preventative maintenance programs.
Required Experience
  • Management of ammonia refrigeration systems, process hazard analysis, and process safety management.
  • Accountability for Controls and/or Instrumentation teams.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with high-speed, high-volume food manufacturing processes.
  • Project management, utilities, and facilities construction experience.
  • Labor relations and union experience are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of FDA, OSHA regulations, GMPs, Sanitation, and HACCP.
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field, with 7+ years of reliability/maintenance experience and 3+ years in a leadership role, OR 10+ years of reliability/maintenance experience with 3+ years in a leadership role in lieu of degree.

Note: This role requires off-shift hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
