The ideal candidate will be a key player in shaping the direction and execution of our company's machine learning initiatives. You will be working with a team of data scientists, engineers, and product managers to develop and implement machine learning models that will drive business growth and enhance user experience.Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation of new or emerging technologies through prototypes and proofs of concept
• Analyze and clearly communicate the benefits and risks of adopting new technologies
• Serve as a hands-on technical lead across development, operations, and security in cloud environments
• Guide enterprise-wide adoption of modern tools, cloud platforms, and AI/ML solutions
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT specialists and engineers
• Balance hands-on engineering with strategic architectural planning and system design

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Ability to obtain US Government security clearance
• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering or IT
• Proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Experience deploying, tuning, and maintaining ML models in production (MLOps)
• Experience with Amazon SageMaker
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure); deep AWS experience strongly preferred
• Strong DevOps skills CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (CDK or Terraform), automation, and monitoring

Full-stack development experience

• Frontend React, TypeScript
• Backend Python, Pandas, Scikit-learn
• Data PostgreSQL, S3,
• Infrastructure as Code Terraform or AWS CDK
• Strong system architecture skills designs secure, scalable systems with attention to both detail and big-picture strategy
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new projects and technologies
