ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Landscape Architect with 8 to 15 years of experience, who is passionate about the profession and interested in creating dynamic, sustainable places. Creative and collaborative individuals interested in a broad range of project types and the ability to cultivate new business opportunities are encouraged to apply. Our ideal candidate is a motivated, accomplished individual skilled in design who has expertise in communicating ideas through graphic and written work, is organized, and collaborative. This individual will have strong technical skills, experience managing complex teams and projects, expertise in office and client management, and a strong portfolio of design excellence in built work. Key qualifications include:
- 8+ years of professional experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D Civil, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office is required, as is the demonstrated ability to mentor staff in all programs. Familiarity with Rhino, animation applications, and project management software is highly desired.
- Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited program in planning, urban design, or landscape architecture.
- Licensed landscape architect. Preference for license in New York State.
- We are an in-person hybrid studio with projects across the region.
- Minimum 1 year of experience managing NYSCA assignments, 2-3+ years preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Capable of working effectively in a leadership role with minimal oversight, takes initiative.
- Strong computer/ analytic skills, facility with spreadsheets and project management software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Auto Cad.
- Preferred Licenses and accreditations: Licensure in New York State
The pay range for this New York position is $120k - $135k per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
