Overview

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What you'll do
  • Own testing within Archer's various integrated labs from planning stages through execution and reporting
  • Utilize lab test equipment and Archer's simulation environment to setup test cases, validate system requirements, and investigate issues
  • Lead collaborative efforts with aircraft system engineers to develop test plans and procedures
  • Assist in the coordination of integrated lab test scheduling
  • Develop and maintain integrated test lab operating procedures
What you need
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in aircraft system integration and test, or related field
  • Technical understanding of test equipment (Scopes, Meters, and Sensors) for applicable use in a lab environment to drive tests to completion
  • Wholistic understanding of aircraft systems and their impact on higher level vehicle capability
  • Ability to develop and execute aircraft system verification and validation procedures
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, A429, Serial (RS-485/RS-422/RS-232), and Ethernet
  • Positive and collaborative communication style
  • Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with HIL and/or real-time simulation environments
  • Proficiency in Python and its use to develop custom test automation and data processing tools
Compensation

At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business. We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company's business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between 122,880.00 - $153,600. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
