Position Overview
International Motors has a great opportunity for a Senior IT Integration Architect.
The Senior IT Integration Architect is responsible for leading the integration architecture and ensuring future-oriented integrations of software programs, applications, and third-party solutions to meet the organization's business requirements. The focus is on connecting on-premise and cloud-based COTS platforms, as well as custom-developed web and mobile solutions. This role also involves developing and maintaining an application integration architecture blueprint and roadmap for the organization.
This is a hybrid position based four days per week (Monday-Thursday with Friday optional remote) at our headquarters in Lisle, Illinois, reporting to the Associate Director, IT Enterprise Architecture.
Responsibilities
- Align International's integration roadmap with the emerging Traton integration architecture future state and Traton standard technologies and tools.
- Drive technology decisions to rationalize and modernize integration solutions.
- Define requirements for integration methods, tools, and performance metrics with technology teams.
- Advise on integration best practices, modeling, and system architecture.
- Review technical specifications and application code for standards adherence.
- Lead discussions on integration architecture with IT and business colleagues.
- Document integration methods, standards, and practices, including patterns and tools.
- Establish an application integration review process for standardized solutions.
- Maintain integration tools and ensure standards are followed.
- Assist with incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Partner with Security & Risk Management to ensure security compliance.
- Evaluate emerging technologies for potential adoption.
- Lead internal and external team resources as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of IT or architecture experience with 2+ years of leadership experience, OR
- Master's degree and 12+ years of experience with 2+ years of leadership experience, OR
- 17+ years of experience with 2+ years of leadership experience.
Additional Requirements
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship expected).
Desired Skills
- Deep understanding of integration architecture processes, standards, and procedures.
- Expertise in system integration methods and technologies (Web services, SOAP, JSON, XML, etc.).
- Experience with modern integrations, microservices, API design, event-based integration, DevSecOps, CI/CD.
- Hands-on experience with platforms like Workato, MuleSoft, Azure tools, AWS tools, and application-centric tools.
- Familiarity with open source frameworks and cloud architecture principles.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.).
- Experience with API management solutions.
- Strong communication, project management, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to balance business needs with architectural standards.
