Senior IR Signature Engineer - MedStar Health : Job Details

As a Senior IR Signature Engineer with MTSI, you will contribute to critical scientific and technical analysis supporting the U.S. Air Force, Department of Defense (DoD), and National Intelligence efforts. You will play a pivotal role in supporting NASIC/WMES IR Signature modeling team by characterizing threat systems through signatures production. Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to: Collaborate with customers to address challenging mission requirements by researching and developing new capabilities as well as making improvements to existing systems.Develop algorithms using Python, MATLAB, C++, and other languages for real world applicationsDevelop and sustain EO/IR Analytical tools, Techniques, and knowledge basesCharacterize threat systems through signatures productionUtilize, produce, and manipulate Computer Aided Design (CAD) Models for signature calculations using customer defined engineering code, verification/evaluation of predictions with measured data, production, and quality control processes.Experience with scripting/automation languages such as Python, Bash, or MATLABExperience in modeling, simulation, and/ or analysis of electronic warfare systems, radars, missile & aircraft systems, or RF/EO/IR SensorsA passion for learning and staying updated with the latest technologies.Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to acquire TS/SCI clearanceDesired Requirements: TS/SCI ClearanceRelevant work experience supporting IR Signature ProductionStrong math, physics or engineering background is preferredExperience with IR Sensors and processing related data filesExperience with measured intensities from IR sensors; as well as simulation and analytical atmospheric attenuation models.Experience with JANNAF codesEducation Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or STEM with 5+ years of experienceCertifications Requirements : NAClearance Requirements : U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.#mtsi #LI-BG1 #NOVASTARInteresting Work:Our co-workers support some of the most important and critical programs to our national defense and security.Values:Our first core value is that employees come first.
