Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future. This is hybrid position based in our Kansas City office. How You Will Make an Impact:
  • Strong time-management skills which enable the representative to manage an opportunity pipeline from lead generation to post-sale follow-up and reporting.
  • Effectively qualify and convert leads resulting in steady revenue for the Personal Financial Solutions organization.
  • Actively engage in business development by effectively connecting, profiling, and positioning products/capabilities to uncover new or additional assets.
  • Effectively work with strategic partners with a focus on acquisition, streamlined processes, and increased efficiency and productivity.
  • Achieve focused business goals through proactive sales calls to a segmented client base while reaching an individually assigned sales goal.
  • Connect with investors and institutions through multiple communication channels, including inbound/outbound phones as well as paper/electronic written communication.
  • Introduce clients to investment strategies by evaluating risks and objectives using advice and guidance tools.
  • Work with active and terminated participants of employer-sponsored plans to provide service, support, advice, and recommendations on various needs including distribution and rollover options, consolidation, investment conversations, savings, and contribution strategies.
  • Seek opportunities to be referred to partners who will provide next-step or in-depth sophisticated solutions such as financial wellness, taxable investment strategies, or financial planning.
What You Bring to the Team
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Demonstrated practice of a sales process, including prospecting, profiling, assessing needs, presenting solutions, and closing.
  • Exhibit competitive knowledge and the ability to compare, contrast, and communicate American Century products with competitor products.
  • Understand and position retirement distribution options in a balanced and educational manner.
  • Adapt to the evolving needs of clients, systems, and internal business model.
  • Adhere to compliance/risk procedures while maintaining each client's best interest
  • Systems proficiency, including Seismic, Salesforce, Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience
  • Sales acumen with proven experience consulting with customers or clients.
  • Solid understanding of qualified retirement plans (Preferred)
  • Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist or Chartered Retirement Plan Counselor Designation (Preferred)
  • Series 7 and 63, 65, or 66 (or willingness to complete)
