Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

Location: Manhattan, NY (Onsite 3-5 days per week with occasional travel)

We are excited to be partnering with a multi-site healthcare service provider to help find them a Senior Human Resources Manager to lead and evolve the HR function. With operations across four states and a commitment to excellence, they are looking for a strategic yet hands-on HR leader to help drive employee satisfaction and operational efficiency.

About the Role

The Senior Human Resources Manager will be responsible for all aspects of HR operations, including employee relations, payroll oversight, compliance, and process improvement. This is a unique opportunity for an HR professional with the drive to implement innovative ideas and elevate the HR function in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate is comfortable managing day-to-day HR operations, providing strategic guidance, and engaging with employees at all levels to enhance the workplace experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage HR policies and procedures to support a multi-state organization.
  • Oversee employee relations, addressing attendance and performance matters, and providing guidance for more complex investigations as needed.
  • Manage payroll processing audits and serve as a backup for the payroll function.
  • Lead onboarding, including background checks and drug screening, ensuring a smooth and compliant process.
  • Collaborate on benefits renewal and administration.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee morale, engagement, and satisfaction.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing strategic HR guidance and support.
  • Introduce and refine processes and systems to optimize HR operations.
  • Occasionally assist with candidate screening as part of the recruiting process, managed by a dedicated recruiter.
  • Provide periodic travel to other locations to maintain visibility and support operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in HR management, ideally in both large, structured environments and smaller, hands-on settings.
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Experience managing HR in multi-site and multi-state operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience in employee relations, payroll processes, and compliance.
  • Preferred experience in healthcare, learning and development, or talent management.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems such as ADP or Paychex is a plus.
