We are currently seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our Gintzler International team. This role provides support to our Buffalo, NY facility, ensuring a safe environment and administering HR policies across all phases. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in manufacturing, logistics, or similar environments.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and enforce HR policies, ensuring legal compliance and adherence to best practices; stay updated on labor regulations and employment law changes, and adjust policies accordingly.
- Administer payroll, verifying hours worked in accordance with state laws; experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees, addressing concerns, conflicts, and providing guidance.
- Promote a positive work environment and manage employee relations issues fairly and equitably.
- Collaborate with leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives, supporting operational success.
- Partner with leadership to attract and onboard diverse, high-caliber talent through refined recruitment processes, interviews, and partnerships with educational institutions and industry networks.
- Drive a culture of performance excellence via robust performance management, coaching managers in providing effective feedback and recognition.
- Advise supervisors on resolving employee relations issues such as disciplinary actions, terminations, and promotions.
- Manage safety training, incidents, and compliance; investigate accidents and prepare reports for insurance purposes.
- Maintain employee records and filing systems.
- Track leave, PTO, and sick time accurately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Management, or a related field is preferred; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 3-5+ years of relevant HR experience, especially in manufacturing, logistics, or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
- Knowledge of operational safety, including managing OSHA logs and conducting safety trainings.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now, and data management tools.
- Relevant HR certifications are a plus.
