Job DescriptionThe University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL) seeks a dynamic, collaborative, and experienced HR professional to provide a broad array of consultative services and leadership to assigned units within the university. The Senior HR Partner will support UMSL's objectives in the areas of employee relations, talent management, compensation and job analysis. In addition, this colleague will provide leadership in a sub-specialty area (e.g., policy development, ADA accommodations, project management, compensation) aligned with their background and expertise. In addition, this colleague will represent UMSL with the related UM System Centers of Excellence. Along with colleagues at UMSL and the University of Missouri System, this HR team member will model a positive, service-oriented approach.
Consultative Services and Leadership
* Collaborate with administrators, managers, faculty and staff to understand goals, objectives and priorities of assigned units
* Ensure the integrity of Human Resources' structures, policies and processes to provide consistent and positive stakeholder experiences
* Collect and analyze workforce data, communicate with organizational leaders for planning and staffing decisions, make recommendations for process improvements and assist with trend analysis
* Operate with minimal guidance, and be a self-directed learner who is flexible and adaptable to changing environments * Demonstrate customer focus, collaboration, confidentiality and integrity
* Perform other duties as assigned or is necessary to provide HR service and support to the campus
Employee Relations & Policy Compliance
* Effectively provide employee relations leadership, counseling, partnership and investigations of sensitive and confidential matters including employee performance, complaints, policy interpretation and conflict resolution
* Ensure compliance with university collected rules and regulations, policies, campus processes and procedures and state and federal employment law
Talent Management
* Provide performance management counseling and training; monitor performance appraisal completion of assigned units
* Guide assigned units on value-added onboarding and thorough offboarding processes
* Recommend, develop, provide, and/or oversee training, education, and resources to increase employee development and engagement
* Design programs to support employee retention * Ensure compliance with all required university and unit-level trainings
Compensation and Job Analysis
* Review, analyze, and/or make recommendations for job offers and compensation changes
* Provide advice on compensation decisions that is consistent with university policy and takes into consideration matters of market, employee performance/experience/education and departmental budget
* Educate supervisors on university compensation policies and philosophy
ShiftMonday - Friday, 8 - 5, on-site with possibility of limited hybrid-remote after initial onboarding period
Minimum QualificationsA bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred QualificationsSalary Range: $60,000 - $78,000 yearly
