Senior Heavy Truck Driver - County of Okaloosa Florida : Job Details

Drives heavy duty trucks in the hauling and distribution of materials. EXAMPLES OF WORK - Operates hydraulic dump trucks, flat-beds, loaders, rollers and four-wheel drive pickups. - Inspects trucks, tools and equipment; ensures that trucks, tools and equipment are properly maintained. - Performs maintenance and repair on trucks, tools and equipment. - Uses electrical equipment and hand and gas-powered tools, such as chainsaws, rakes, shovels and hammers to perform assigned duties. - Assists with traffic control at work sites. - Performs physical labor in the maintenance, restoration and construction of roadways and drainage systems. - Cuts trees, limbs and shrubbery on right-of-ways; clears ditches, culverts, drains, gutters and beaver dams. - Assists with training staff in the operation of light and heavy trucks as well as the paperwork associated with daily operations.
