What You Will Do
The Senior Health Economics Analyst will generate strategic insights across VNS Health Plans, focusing on:
- Medical Expense Utilization: Analyze costs and utilization trends, root causes, and spending patterns, including claims data and risk-adjustment models.
- Policy: Assess healthcare policy impacts on patient populations, especially vulnerable members, and evaluate new payment methods and partnerships.
- Clinical: Identify vulnerable members, evaluate clinical outcomes, and analyze program effectiveness to improve health outcomes and manage risks.

Qualifications
Education: BS in a quantitative field; MS preferred.
Work Experience: 4+ years in healthcare data analysis, proficient with software like R, Python, SAS, SQL, and understanding relational databases. Skilled in communicating complex results and translating business needs into data solutions.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with healthcare data (claims, EMRs, assessments)
- Knowledge of healthcare financial terms and coding systems
- Experience in managed care organizations
- Understanding of healthcare operations
- Version control experience (e.g., GitHub)
- Knowledge of quasi-experimental methods

USD $93,400 - $116,800 per year
