Job Overview – Senior Fund Accountant (Real Assets):Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000/year + bonusLocation: New York, NYSchedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)Join our client as a Senior Fund Accountant (Real Assets) in New York, NY, supporting real asset and alternative investment funds through GAAP-compliant reporting, fund performance analysis, and investor reporting. This in-office role is ideal for candidates with experience in fund accounting, ASC 606, and financial statement preparation. You'll collaborate with Controllers and internal teams to ensure accuracy, transparency, and timely reporting across complex real asset structures.Responsibilities as the Senior Fund Accountant:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, NAVs, investor reports, and filings in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.
  • Fund Analysis: Analyze performance, cash flows, budgets, and forecasts to support reporting and strategic planning.
  • Expense Oversight: Monitor fund expenses and vendor payments to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Investor Support: Respond to investor inquiries and deliver accurate, timely financial data.
  • Compliance & Collaboration: Ensure adherence to ASC 606 and lease accounting standards while partnering with internal teams on audits and reporting.
Qualifications for the Senior Fund Accountant:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required (CPA preferred).
  • Experience: 3-6 years of fund accounting or administration experience in public or private settings, ideally with exposure to real assets and ASC 606.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and data reconciliation.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, ASC 606, and lease accounting standards applicable to fund structures.
  • Skills & Attributes:Detail-oriented and analytical, with strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative settings.
