Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr

At Trunk Tools, we are tackling the massive $13 trillion+ construction industry. We're an exceptional team of serial entrepreneurs, brought together by our shared mission: automating construction. Our founding team (SpaceX, Stanford, MIT, Carta, etc.) has successfully built and deployed software in construction for 140k+ users, millions of users beyond the construction space, and worked on +$2 billion of built-environment projects. We aren't another out-of-touch tech startup, most of our team comes from construction.We spent the last few years building the brain behind construction. Now we are deploying workflows/agents, starting with Q&A document chatbot, to be ingrained in construction teams' workflows, ultimately to automate construction. Given our immense traction with several Fortune 500 construction companies, we are doubling our team (currently 50+ FTE) in order to deploy several more agents this year. You will have an opportunity to drive the transformation of a multi-trillion-dollar industry full of waste, risks and inefficiencies.What you will do and achieve:

• Develop and Enhance Product Features: You will build new features and expand existing functionalities across our products - TrunkText (Construction Document Guide) and TrunkPerform (Incentive Management Tool).
• Build and Enhance 3rd Party Integrations: You will architect and develop complex integrations with third-party systems, improving connector design, authentication, and data synchronization. You'll also enhance our integrations foundation to support self-serve functionality, scalability, and future extensibility.
• Scale Our Systems: Iterate on our backend architecture to support the growing needs of thousands of users, making sure our systems are robust, scalable, and future-ready.
• Ensure Reliability: Guarantee that our applications are reliable, user-friendly, and free from bugs, providing an exceptional experience for our users.
• Strategic Participation: Actively contribute to product strategy discussions, bringing innovative ideas and perspectives to the table that could shape the future of our products.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including product management and design, to ensure seamless development and deployment of features.

Who you are:

• 4-6 years of work experience in full-stack development
• Proficient in TypeScript
• Experience in Backend development (Node + Express)
• Experience building read/write integrations to 3rd party systems
• Experience with data synchronization strategies
• Experience with scheduled job/worker systems
• Experience in Frontend development (React)
• Experience architecting systems
• Experience in data schema modeling
• Comfortable with relational and non-relational databases
• Previous experience shipping products to users
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to work in a team
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Solutions-oriented and high-level programming skills
