Job Description

This role leads the development of end-to-end data-driven solutions, including data collection, model development, deployment, and maintenance of inference services. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud-based solutions, optimizing models for cloud performance, and maintaining scalable predictive systems. Collaboration across teams to establish best practices and reusable components is essential. As a technical leader, you will focus on deploying machine learning solutions with emphasis on observability, security, and cloud efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify efficient languages and tools; develop new data sources and models to solve business problems.
  • Plan projects effectively, manage scope, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Mentor and develop team members.
  • Develop complex models using best practices to meet business needs and improve data accuracy.
  • Evaluate and communicate modeling techniques and results to stakeholders.
  • Develop communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed and influence business decisions.
  • Collaborate with other business units to improve decision-making through data and models.
  • Understand business problems to identify optimal modeling approaches.
  • Build frameworks and prototypes integrating data and machine learning for decision-making.
Functional Experience
  • Building and optimizing cloud-based machine learning systems with proficiency in a major cloud provider.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, containerization (Docker), observability tools, and cloud security.
  • Familiarity with data science tools (Python, R, SQL, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Education & Experience
  • Masters Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience (preferred).
Additional Information

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities. Compensation ranges from $95,700 to $170,925 annually, based on experience. The candidate will undergo a background check. Allstate generally does not sponsor visas. We value diversity and equal opportunity employment.
