Job Title: Senior Consultant – Fraud Strategy | Banking & Financial Services

Location: New York City, NY

Team: Big Data, Analytics, and AI

Job Summary

Join EXL Analytics as a Senior Consultant to lead fraud strategy initiatives within the BFSI sector. The role demands strong technical and analytical skills combined with stakeholder management to deliver high-impact fraud solutions. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to drive data-driven decision-making and develop cutting-edge fraud prevention strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive end-to-end delivery of fraud-related analytics projects.
• Coordinate with senior client stakeholders and cross-functional teams for alignment.
• Design and structure analytical solutions based on business objectives.
• Lead fraud rule-writing, strategy development, and governance frameworks.
• Guide and mentor teams in problem-solving and use of analytical tools.
• Present analytical findings and insights to clients at executive levels.
• Develop real-time fraud solutions using machine learning and internal tools.

Required Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields (top-tier institutions preferred).
• 4–6+ years of experience in fraud strategy, ideally in banking or seller risk fraud.

Technical Skills

• Tools: SQL, Hive, PySpark, Python
• Visualization: Tableau or similar
• ML: Familiarity with machine learning tools
• Fraud: Experience in rule-writing techniques & governance

Preferred Skills

• Proven thought leadership in real-time fraud analytics.
• Experience in managing people and leading project teams.
• Strong storytelling and communication skills (slide decks, dashboards).
• Excellent problem-solving, program management, and abstract thinking.
