Position Overview
Location: Odessa, TX (with periodic travel to Troy, TX facility)
PermianLide, a leading ASME pressure vessel and API tank fabrication company with a legacy in energy infrastructure manufacturing, is seeking a Senior FP&A Manager / Director to drive financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis. This leader will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable FP&A processes that support both our core Oil & Gas operations and our diversification into emerging end markets, including midstream, LNG, and data center infrastructure.
The role will serve as a critical business partner to the CEO and Operations leadership, providing forward-looking insights, actionable analytics, and financial discipline across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the annual operating plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial planning, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
- Build and manage dynamic financial models that incorporate backlog, pipeline, RFQ activity, labor efficiency, material costs, and capacity utilization.
- Develop probability-weighted revenue forecasts by facility (Odessa vs Troy) and by customer segment (upstream, midstream, LNG, data centers).
Reporting & Analytics
- Lead preparation of monthly and quarterly Board of Directors reporting packages, highlighting key variances, trends, and business drivers.
- Deliver daily and weekly operational dashboards that tie manufacturing KPIs (weld-time vs total-time ratios, labor efficiency %, NDE pass rates, material variances) to financial outcomes.
- Provide clear variance analysis of COGS, overhead absorption, and margin performance across product lines and facilities.
Business Partnering
- Partner with Operations leadership to evaluate shop productivity, cost variance, subcontractor impact, and ROI on process improvements.
- Work with Commercial leadership to assess project economics, bid competitiveness, and profitability of backlog vs pipeline projects.
- Support Strategic Initiatives, including diversification into midstream, LNG, and cooling/data center infrastructure.
Process & Systems Development
- Establish a scalable FP&A infrastructure, including standardized reporting, cost models, and forecasting processes.
- Partner with IT/ERP teams to enhance data capture from Deltek, job-costing, and production systems.
- Implement best practices for capital allocation, change order management, and cash flow forecasting.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA/CPA/CFA preferred.
- Experience: 7–12 years progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, industrials, EPC, or energy infrastructure strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with operations and interpret shop-floor metrics into financial insight.
Skills
- Advanced financial modeling, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis.
- Expertise in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and ERP reporting (Deltek/Arcom or equivalent).
- Strong leadership, communication, and executive presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment.
Performance Expectations
- Within 90 days: Deliver a comprehensive cash flow forecasting model tied to A/R analysis and backlog conversion.
- Within 6 months: Implement a standardized monthly FP&A package for executive leadership and Board reporting.
- Within 12 months: Build a scalable FP&A framework that supports diversification into new markets and facilities.
