The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for the position of Senior fMRI Technologist and Lab Manager, UNLV Research [R0148627].

Role of the Position

The UNLV Division of Research is accepting applications for a fMRI Technologist and Lab Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations at UNLV's fMRI facility, including data collection, analysis, and maintenance of the lab's equipment and resources. The primary responsibilities include patient interaction, recruitment, screening, and scheduling of research participants, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and IRB protocols, managing the lab's website, and overseeing lab finances and budget. Additionally, the role involves mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in fMRI techniques and research procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field from an accredited school of radiology recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • 3–5 years of experience in a clinical MRI position.
  • Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography.
  • State of Nevada License in Radiology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Training in MRI equipment operation and image interpretation.

Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the radiology field.
  • Experience operating fMRI equipment.
  • Experience with research protocols and IRB procedures.
  • Experience supervising technologists and/or administrative staff.
